Parent Survey

November 2009

This survey was completed by parents at our recent parent evenings. The vast majority of parents were caught either as they entered the school or were about to leave and asked to give the school a score out of 10 for a series of statements about the school and their children’s education.

In total 312 surveys were completed. We accept that we were not able to catch every parent and we also suggested that the families with 2 children in school need only fill out one survey. Therefore, we feel that a return of 73% gives us a good feel for parent’s views.

The findings have been presented in a way that splits the responses down to year groups and then puts them together as a whole school. We have then extracted all the comments made and grouped them. We have attempted to answer many of them but there are a few which we will need to work on (which ultimately is the purpose of this exercise!)
