An excellent all round performance swept away what was potentially a very tough opponant. The highly vocal goal keeping and the 60's style physical pressure of the defence kept any attacks at bay whilst the flamboyant midfield provided endless scope to attack. Both wings were flying and the forwards had the time and space to try every trick in the book. Two hat tricks were grabbed and everyone returned to Beccles happy!! |

The Year Eight girls had a fabulous time in what we believe to be the first competitive Year 8 girls rugby fixture in North Suffolk. A highly competitive game with hard tackling, strong running and some mean scrummaging ended in a draw with both teams showing the bruises of a hard fought match. |

| A wonderful afternoon of hockey with rapid attacking, lots of strong tackling, a few giggles and no goals. Two games involving two very evenly matched teams. It was a pleasure to watch and I am sure it was great to play!! | ||

A superb performance from the Year Eight boys with some outstanding individual talent on display. Hard tackling, intelligent running and slick passing resulted in a good victory over a strong Gisleham team. |

Another superb performance from the Year Seven boys. This was an impressive display of forward power and some quick finishing down the wings. The forwards worked as a tight unit, securing ball all around the pitch and providing a base for some excellent attacking rugby. |

A great effort by the Year Six girls in difficult conditions. They kept running throughout but were never able to match the physical power of the Gisleham girls. |

A great performance by the flying ladies of Year Eight. They matched the Gisleham girls stride for stride and tackle for tackle for much of the game but eventually were overcome by strong finishing, high winds and driving rain. |
30th January Under 12 County Rugby Final |
Our Year Seven team with some Year Six additions travelled to Ipswich for the County Finals. Everyone played with a great spirit and showed promise for the coming league competition. |

Friday 8th December 2006 Year 5 Football at Home to Halesworth Middle School Beccles 2 Halesworth 2 (Halesworth won 2 - 0 on penalties) |

The Year Five team fought a close match in which both teams showed a great level of commitment. Goals were shared evenly and the match ended as a draw. This led to extra time. Niether side was able to break the deadlock during the added time and the decision went to penalties. In true England style the Beccles team ended on the losing side after a penalty shoot out. What a terrible way to go out!! |

| A great display of rugby from the Year 7 boys with support from some Year 6. The whole game was evenly balanced with good handling and some ferocious tackling. The tries were scored through strong running and some intelligent forward play. Everything looked as if a draw was the most likely result until Halesworth sneaked a try right at the end. Our boys played the game with a real positive outlook. |

| A spirited performance from the lads. This was against a team which we had beaten in the 7 a side tournament earlier this year but obviously with a full team they were stronger. We kept going right until the final whistle with a positive attitude. |

Monday 13th November 2006 Year Eight Girls Netball fixture at home to Bungay Middle School Beccles 17 Bungay 4 |
![]() |
Another great performance by the our girls against a Bungay side who were tall and fast. It was the Beccles tenacity and will to win which gave us the edge and some excellent shooting certainly helped us on our way. We kept running until the final whistle and never really let Bungay settle. A good result for the girls. Well done!! |

A stunning performance by the lads against a Bungay side who had many strong players! It was one of those nights when everything came together and we would have made life difficult for even the best premiership team!! Accurate passing, good running, solid defending and some outstanding shooting all resulted in a magnificant scoreline. Well done to everyone who took part! |
| Thursday 9th November 2006 Year Seven Boys 5-a-side Tournament Kirkley High School |

The Year Seven lads played well against teams from across the county. They lost the first game 2 - 0 to Pakefield and from then on it was always going to be a struggle. They came back to draw 0 - 0 with Worlingham and then played out a 1 - 1 draw with Elm Tree. Although they didn't progress through to the final stages they showed a good commitment to the game. Well Done! |

Suffolk U11 7-a-side Tournament Saturday 4th November |
Our Year Six team came runners up to Gisleham Middle. They played brilliantly with some great results against some powerful teams. Some great goals from Kieran kept us moving and it was only at the last that we came up against a stronger group of boys. A brilliant achievement all round. We are really proud of the boys who took part, the parents who supported them and the staff who gave up their Saturday to cheer the boys on! |

The Ripple Effect For the last 8 weeks groups from Year 6 and Year 8 have been attending Oulton Broad outdoor centre. They have had an opportunity to develop their skills in water sports and ICT whilst helping boost their Literacy and Numeracy skills. It is getting rather cold and dark now but they are still having a great time! |
